Within the world of cycling there are certain mountains that stand out above the rest, both physically and figuratively. Mont Ventoux is one such mountain. It has been the seen of some of the sport's greatest triumphs, and sadly it was the scene of one of the sport's greatest tragedies when Tom Simpson died on the slopes of the climb during the 1967 Tour de France. The mountain has three different routes to the summit, with the traditional challenge being to complete all three in a single ride. In 2016 I will take on this challenge as I look to become a member of the Club des Cingles du Mont Ventoux.
